Project Manager:Location: This
is
a
contract
position
based
out
of
Port
Townsend,
Washington,
USA.
Projects
can
be
managed
virtually
anywhere
via
the
Internet;
however,
Project
Managers
must
be
able
to
communicate
with
PALMATEC
staff
and
clients
daily
via
phone,
email,
and
instant
messaging.
Weekly
meetings
in
the
Port
Townsend/Seattle
area
are
required.
Job
Description: Project
Managers
are
responsible
for
managing
all
aspects
of
assigned
PALMATEC
projects.
This
position
will
be
the
focal
point
for
all
communications
with
the
customer
for
PALMATEC
on
their
assigned
accounts
throughout
the
implementation
process.
The
Project
Manager
is
ultimately
responsible
for
customer
satisfaction,
and
will
efficiently
lead
both
customer
and
internal
PALMATEC
resources
to
meet
the
established
implementation
milestones
and
targeted
completion
dates.
The
position
works
independently
and
is
capable
of
managing
multiple
simultaneous
engagements,
as
well
as
leading
developers,
designers,
and
production
team
to
fulfill
project
requirements.
Principal
Responsibilities: 1. Assist the Account Executive in implementing PALMATEC mission as it pertains to assigned projects 2. Set up and conduct meetings with the customer, ensuring that all roles and responsibilities are established and timelines are set 3. Research and acquire Developers, Programmers, Designers, and all necessary resources to complete project success 4. Ensure that the customer understands project scope and timelines 5. Ensure a thorough understanding of customer expectations through meetings with PALMATEC staff and discussions with the customer 6. Manage the project timeline; communicate deviations; resolve scope changes; confirm system activation date, and oversee schedule and execution of end-user training 7. Ensure the developers, programmers, designers, and other PALMATEC resources are efficiently scheduled, execute against that schedule, and ensure customer satisfaction 8. Communicate regularly with the customer and the assigned Account Executive to ensure schedule and scope integrity. Anticipate, identify and escalate any unresolved or unusual implementation problems through the appropriate PALMATEC resource network 9. Be the focal point of all communications with the customer and regularly communicate with the customer verbally and in writing throughout the implementation process 10. Finalize and develop the PALMATEC project team, deliverables and task flow, and project schedule (calendar) with the customer 11. Ensure local and corporate implementation processes and quality standards are met. Identify, create and communicate process improvements Qualifications: 1. Candidates must have a strong background in customer service in the high-tech industry. 2.
Working
knowledge
of
Internet
technologies
including
programming,
design,
hosting,
e-commerce
and
online
marketing
industry

back-end

Web
Developers
must
possess
a
proven
ability
to
create
efficient
user
interfaces,
incorporate
appropriate
technologies,
and
work
with
designers
to
develop
aesthetic,
efficient
solutions
to
meet
project
goals. Duties
include
conducting
research
and
consulting
with
designers,
project
managers,
and
account
executives
to
recommend
appropriate
technologies
for
project
proposals
and
implementation.
Weekly
communications
with
the
project
manager
on
assigned
accounts
throughout
the
implementation
process
is
required.
The
web
developer
is
responsible
for
customer
satisfaction,
and
will
work
with
PALMATEC
staff
to
meet
the
established
implementation

Two+
years
experience
administering
Apache
web
servers;
experience
with
log
analysis
tools;
experience
with
content
management
systems,
FTP
servers,
and
list
services
required 5. Outstanding attention to detail and project follow-through required 6. Proven ability and pride in creating dynamic websites and user-interface designs required 7. Excellent organization, communication, and customer service skills required 8. Portfolio and Customer/Employer references required 9.
